Olivet has been ranked as a top university for return on investment
by AffordableCollegesOnline.org, today’s primary resource for higher education affordability and financial aid information. Students who graduate from these institutions earn more over their lifetimes, on average, than graduates from other Illinois institutions.
AC Online used the following criteria from highly respected, authoritative data sets to determine these rankings
• Fully accredited, four-year, not-for-profit institutions, according to the Carnegie Foundation
• Tuition and fees, based on information provided by National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
• Graduates’ average starting salaries and return on investment (ROI) calculation, based on information provided by PayScale.com’s “2013 College Earnings Report”
Olivet’s ranking confirms that it is one of the top affordable colleges in Illinois, consistently yielding good outcomes. Graduates from Olivet and the other ranked schools enjoy the largest earnings gap between non-degree holders over 30 years, and earn more on average than graduates from other Illinois schools.
“We aim to educate so that potential students are aware of their options for obtaining a degree and, most importantly, for paying for one,” said AC Online founder Dan Schuessler. “We’ve sifted through comprehensive data sources to find colleges and universities in Illinois that offer a high quality education with consistent, long-term payoffs in the workplace.”
“Our goal at AffordableCollegesOnline is to keep our finger on the pulse of college-related issues, the latest research, how the government is responding, and help students analyze their options,” Mr. Schuessler adds.
“Olivet strives to provide a quality education with a Christian purpose while keeping costs affordable and benefits to students primary,” said Dr. Dennis Crocker, vice president for academic affairs. “We are delighted with this ranking, which confirms that our efforts are succeeding.”
