Shine.FM, a broadcasting ministry of Olivet, announces promotions and staff changes, effective September 1, 2013.

Justin Knight '97/'07 MOL is now Shine.FM’s director of ministry expansion. After five years as a youth pastor in South Carolina and Illinois, he joined Shine.FM’s staff in 2000. This gave him the opportunity to combine his ministry experience with his passion for sharing the gospel through music. For the past seven years, he has served as the network’s general manager, and one of his greatest joys is expanding the influence and reach of Shine.FM. An avid marathon runner, he often runs with Team World Vision to provide clean water for Africa’s people.

Brian McIntyre '91 is now the general manager of the Shine.FM network. His communications career began with his work for a small town newspaper in central Illinois. That experience ignited his passion to use media to share the love of Christ. He has previously served as a missionary in South America, creating radio, television and Internet ministries in Spanish and Portuguese. He continues to serve as the global coordinator for World Mission Broadcast and often leads media mission trips.

Kurt Wallace is now the program director for the Shine.FM network and station manager for WHZN, Shine.FM Indianapolis. A native of East St. Louis, Ill., and a graduate of Greenville College, he has enjoyed a career of 30-plus years in radio. Currently, in addition to his work with Shine.FM, he hosts the nationally broadcast “Weekend Top 20 Countdown” and owns a radio voice-over business. Christian music is one of his greatest passions, and he appreciates the small part God has given him in the big plan for reaching others with the good news about Jesus.

Effective July 1, 2013, Jeff Enfield '93/'04 MPC is now an advancement officer for Shine.FM. He is responsible for expanding the network’s influence by connecting with listeners who give to the ministry. He is a graduate of Olivet and president of the Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Lambda, the international honor society for graduates of Nazarene colleges and universities. An ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, he has been with Shine.FM since 2008.

Also effective July 1, 2013, Luke Franklin '11/'13 MPSC is Shine.FM’s new business development manager. He is responsible for overseeing business underwriting for both Shine.FM and Olivet Nazarene University. Since the age of nine, he has been in love with radio. Now, he has a new opportunity to make sure his favorite media source continues to share the truth of God’s Word.

The Shine.FM network is a Christian hits radio ministry of Olivet. In addition to the 100,000 listeners who listen weekly through four stations in Chicagoland, Indianapolis and northwest Indiana, thousands more stream Shine.FM, Shine Worship and Shine RX3 online or through their mobile apps.
