    Area Lodging and Dining  
    Visitors will enjoy finding numerous dining and hotel options within a short drive from the Olivet campus.

    Benner Library & Resource Center
    An academic research library with a physical collection of more than 200,000 resources spanning four floors. Scholarly online materials support undergraduates through doctoral students. Library staff and resources support student success, academic excellence and lifelong learning for Olivet students, faculty and staff. Guests may browse periodicals, purchase coffee and treats at Jazzman’s Café, access the Internet via WiFi or login, and attend selected special events. A limited access borrowing card is available for purchase.

    University Archives
    This is the repository for a rich collection of documents, books, manuscripts, photographs, audio and video recordings, memorabilia and official papers relating to the University, Church of the Nazarene and the Kankakee area. The Archives collects and preserves artifacts and information from the past to help create a vibrant future. Serious researchers may consult the collections by requesting an appointment one week in advance.

    Bears Training Camp
    For a few weeks each summer, our campus becomes headquarters for the NFL’s Chicago Bears. Fun for the whole family!

    Conferences and Community Events
    Equipped with the latest technology for sound, projection and recording, as well as comfortable seating and food service options, Olivet offers the ideal facilities for groups of all sizes.

    Are you an ONU student who wants to get to know the area surrounding your campus? Are you visiting your ONU student and looking for something fun to do?     School of Music
    World-class music in your own back yard! Join us for the exciting performances by Olivet’s premier choral and instrumental ensembles, the University Orchestra and the Marching Tigers Band. 

    Marriage, Inc.
    Marriage, Inc. is a community grassroots organization, sponsored by an Olivet Nazarene University Foundation that has as its mission to build a culture of marriage in Kankakee County and the region. Services provided by Marriage, Inc. include premarital preparation, post marital counseling or mentoring, pastoral resources for marriage ministries, an annual Date Night and much more.

    Olivet's Shine.FM welcomes some of today’s hottest Christian music artists to the 3000-plus seat Centennial Chapel on campus.

    Strickler Planetarium
    One of only a few planetaria in Illinois with digital projection capabilities, Strickler Planetarium welcomes school groups, astronomy societies, adults and children to enjoy exciting multimedia presentations and guided explorations of the solar system. Find the current show schedule at

    Tiger Sports
    From fall through spring, Tiger men’s and women’s sports teams compete on our fields and courts — and in our swimming pool and fieldhouse located in the Perry Student Life and Recreation Center. Our athletes compete with NAIA, NCCAA and CCAC teams.
