Professor Kender completed his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (computer programming option) from Purdue University Northwest in 2008 while working full time as a police officer. His bachelor’s degree was received in highest academic distinction. In 2008, he started a small business conducting forensic investigations and developing related software. He continued with his education and received a master’s degree in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics from Purdue, Northwest. He completed his masters degree with a 4.0 GPA.
In 2011, while in gradate school, Daniel began teaching computer science courses at Purdue, Northwest. He continued teaching computer science courses at Purdue, Northwest until 2021. In 2021, he also retired from the police department after 28 years of service. He has continued his education and is working toward a post-graduate minor in forensic science in addition to several certifications.
