Olivet Tiger swimmer Guilherme Magnoler receives academic honor from College Sports Information Directors of America

This student-athlete also helped lead his Olivet men’s swimming and diving team to two national championships.

Guilherme Magnoler of Olivet Nazarene University was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as a First Team member of the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® College Division Men’s and Women’s At-Large Teams. During his tenure as an Olivet Tiger, he helped lead the men’s swimming and diving team to two National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships.

Guilherme — a native of Brazil — graduated from Olivet in May 2018 with a degree in engineering and a 3.87 GPA. He was also a two-time NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete.

In individual competition, he finished his career at Olivet as a 13-time NAIA All-American. In 2018, he led the Tigers to four relay top-eight finishes, while adding individual All-America performances in the 100 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle. As a junior, he helped capture the 200 Freestyle Relay title. During his sophomore campaign, he captured the program’s first ever national championship in the 50 Freestyle, while also adding top-three finishes in three relays.

The Google Cloud Academic All-America® College Division At-Large Teams include student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.
