Olivet Nazarene University will host its second Theological Leadership Conference, September 5-7, 2019, featuring noted New Testament theologian, N.T. Wright. The conference will include four plenary sessions with Dr. Wright on the theme of Presence and Promise: The Challenge of the Temple. The conference will also include panel discussions led by leading professors from sister universities.
Dr. N.T. Wright is currently the research professor of New Testament and early Christianity studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. He holds a doctorate of divinity degree from Oxford University, having studied philosophy, ancient history and theology, and has been granted more than a dozen honorary doctorates.
Dr. Wright has also taught at Oxford, Cambridge and McGill Universities, held various church leadership positions, and was the Bishop of Durham in the Church of England from 2003-2010. He is the author of over 80 books and hundreds of articles, served as visiting professor at many prestigious institutions, and he frequently broadcasts on radio and TV around the world.
A division of Olivet’s School of Theology and Christian Ministry, the Center for Theological Leadership hosts the Theological Leadership Conference every 18 months. On-campus events, such as this conference, connect, engage and empower local church leaders and students to deepen their ministry by giving them unique access to Biblical scholars and Christian thought-leaders.
