Seats in Kresge Auditorium in Larsen Fine Arts Center at Olivet Nazarene University are anticipated to be filled for the 2019-2020 theatre production season. The shows will capture audience’s attention with outstanding performances from students and will provide valuable, thought-provoking lessons.
The theatre season kicked off at the end of September with Broadway Revue, a student written and directed show encompassing a story line intertwined with beloved show tunes from various musicals.

“All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” is a compilation of short stories portraying moments from the whimsy of childhood to the wisdom of adulthood.
“You Can’t Take It With You” by Moss Hart and George Kauffman

“You Can’t Take It With You” is a madcap, idealistic comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you truly happy.
“Godspell” by Stephen Schwartz and John Michael Tebelak
Directed by Professor Jerry Cohagan
Four performances: Thursday, Feb. 27, 7 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 28, 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 29, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
“Godspell” is a musical adaptation of the Gospel according to Matthew that includes dramatized versions of well-known parables.
“These Shining Lives” by Melanie Marnich
Directed by Samantha Shepherd and Amanda Durbin
Four performances: Thursday, March 26, 7 p.m.; Friday, March 27, 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 28, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
“These Shining Lives” is a poignant, yet inspirational feminist drama. The story is based on the true tale of four women in a 1920’s radium watch dial factory.
