Olivet Nazarene University’s Department of Theatre invites you to consider the value of time in the student directed production of These Shining Lives.
These Shining Lives is based on the true story of the women who worked for the Radium Dial company in Ottawa, Illinois, in the 1920s. The story follows the lives of four women who paint watch faces in a factory at a time when having females in the workplace was uncommon.
“For us as directors, this story emphasizes the value of the time we are given and the importance of investing that precious time not in material possessions, but in one’s legacy and the relationships that mean the most,” says student directors, seniors Amanda Durbin and Samantha Shepherd.
Show times are Thursday, Mar. 26, at 7pm; Friday, Mar. 27, at 7pm; Saturday, Mar. 28, at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available at www.olivet.edu/tickets.
