On Thursday, July 22, Olivet Nazarene University hosted a Kankakee Chamber of Commerce “Business Before Hours” event as a networking time for the community to meet the University President, Dr. Gregg Chenoweth.
Fueled by fresh coffee and light refreshments, more than 60 business and organizational leaders from the surrounding area connected with each other, toured the Douglas E. Perry Student Life and Recreation Center, and had the opportunity to meet and hear from Dr. Chenoweth, and his wife Tammy, as he shared his vision for partnership and collaboration between Olivet and the community.
The event served to further strengthen connections among chamber members in an informal environment. During his remarks, Dr. Chenoweth encouraged the group to consider how they can “bloom where planted” while also maintaining a high level of creative collaboration in the community.
