Family & Consumer Science Major/Minor
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration in hospitality or minor in Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) is designed for the student desiring a broad knowledge of the field of FACS. Students who complete the full degree are required to minor in business.

Required Internship
A five-hour internship is required for this program. Olivet students have completed internships with a variety of local and national companies, including: Sunrise Health Foods, Chic Weddings Inc., Comfort Inn, University of Illinois Extension Service, Sodexo Food Service, Spot Light Meetings and Events, Inc. and more. Internships are introductory-level positions, often paid, and have resulted in full-time job offers.
