Exercise and Sports Science
Physical therapist, athletic trainer, teacher, coach – at Olivet students have the opportunity to become a Christian professional in the world of exercise and sports science. Olivet’s education prepares students for graduate school and professional certifications, and provides many opportunities for learning to work with clients and other students.

Physical Education and Health Education Teaching programs are accredited by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE).
Meet Dr. Brian Hyma
Along with his role as the Athletic Training Program director, Dr. Hyma serves as the chair of the Department of Exercise and Sports Science, providing oversight of all the majors. As a certified athletic trainer for the past 26 years, Dr. Hyma continues to utilize his knowledge in the care and wellbeing of those in an active lifestyle.
