In response to the recent announcement of Lincoln Christian University’s decision to close, Olivet Nazarene University is offering an invitation to LCU students who would like to transfer colleges to continue their studies in person.
Financial Aid
Colleges and universities often use scholarships and grants to discount the cost of tuition for students. These scholarships and grants are awarded based on academic merit, financial need, or other criteria. However, these discounts typically do not cover the full cost of tuition and there is usually a remaining balance that students are responsible for paying out of pocket.
In response to LCU’s transition, Olivet wants to help LCU students who want to continue their in-person studies, and to make the transition to Olivet as affordable as possible. We have decided to match the tuition rate for LCU students. This means that if you were paying $10,000 a year for tuition at LCU, Olivet will match that $10,000 tuition rate for LCU students who transfer to Olivet. However, it’s important to note that the tuition match only applies to the cost of tuition, and not to other expenses such as fees, housing and meals. This means that while your tuition costs will remain the same at Olivet, your overall cost of attendance may be higher or lower depending on these other expenses.
Complete the 3 steps below (apply, submit transcripts, and add Olivet’s FAFSA code), then connect with Kimberly Strickland (klstrickland@olivet.edu, 815-939-5198) about your Tuition Price Match option.

Having your transcript sent will allow our team of advisors to see how your courses transfer in and how they will apply to your major.
Add our school code 001741 to complete your FAFSA. Once received, our team will be able to put together a financial award package for you.
I chose Olivet for the inviting environment it provided, the great science department and the relationships students can have with their professors.
