Favorite Campus Tradition: I really enjoy homecoming. This was an event that I grew up going to and it was so fun to experience it as a student. I love the energy and the multigenerational presence around campus.
Favorite Thing to do in Bourbonnais: I love trying the local coffee shops in town: Connect Roasters, Stefari, and The Well. I also love thrifting at Sequels or Embrace.
Favorite restaurant in town: We have AMAZING Mexican restaurants in town, but my absolute favorite is Cozumel.
Best Olivet memory: My favorite Olivet memory is when I realized my roommates would become lifelong friends. After the first month of school, I saw how we could share deep, meaningful conversations and also enjoy lighthearted, fun moments together. It felt like we had known each other for years.
Favorite Class at ONU: My favorite class was Public Relations Writing with Professor Lauren Beatty. This class equipped me with many skills that made me confident in doing a good job at my internships and jobs.
Favorite professor at ONU: It is really hard to choose just one. I had two professors who helped mentor me and shape me into the person I am today: Susan Wolff and Heather McLaughlin.
Advice for New Students: My advice for new students would be to put yourself out there on the first few weeks of campus: Make sure to keep your dorm room door open, get involved with Ollies Follies, and try to make as many connections as you can at Jump Start.
Favorite Bible verse: My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 46:4: “I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”
