More high school students than ever before are currently participating in Olivet’s dynamic dual enrollment program.

Olivet Nazarene University continues to break records with its Early Scholar Program, announcing the unprecedented spring semester enrollment of 106 high school students, marking another milestone in the program’s history.

The Early Scholar Program, designed to provide high school juniors and seniors with an accessible pathway to college credits, has seen remarkable growth in its mission to help students achieve their academic aspirations. This innovative program welcomes students from public, private and homeschool environments, offering them an affordable opportunity to get ahead in their college journey.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our largest-ever spring cohort of Early Scholars,” said Tiffany Holohan, program director. “The program continues to attract ambitious students who are eager to challenge themselves with university-level coursework while still in high school.”

Students in the program can select from more than 80 diverse course offerings, ranging from Cybersecurity and Calculus to Music and Physics, with both on-campus and online options available. This flexibility allows students to seamlessly integrate college-level courses into their existing high school schedules.

“The competitive pricing of our Early Scholar Program continues to be a significant draw for families looking to make smart investments in their children’s education,” noted Luke Franklin, Executive Director of Traditional Enrollment. “We’re seeing more families recognize the value of getting a head start on college credits while maintaining affordable education costs.”

Dr. Mark Reddy, Vice President of Enrollment Management at Olivet Nazarene University, shared his perspective: “These Early Scholars are getting more than just college credits – they’re experiencing the distinctive academic and spiritual community that makes Olivet special.”

Early Scholars are part of a thriving academic community, interacting with current undergraduate students and developing essential college-ready skills. This early exposure to university life helps them build confidence in their academic abilities while mastering crucial skills like time management, critical thinking, and scholarly communication.
