
HOBART, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams showed out at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Championships at the Hobart Aquatic Center this weekend.
The ONU men brought home the KCAC banner for the fourth consecutive season with a meet-winning 829 points, while the Tiger women finished runner-up with 662.5 points. Bethel (Ind.) took the women’s crown with 662.5 points.
Kayla Parry was named the KCAC Female Swimmer of the Meet, winning all three of her individual events and breaking two meet records. Parry came in first in the 200-yard IM and set new records in the 400-yard IM and 200-yard butterfly.
Jack Fries was selected as the KCAC Male Swimmer of the Meet, sweeping every event he was entered in. Fries was the individual conference champion in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and 200-yard IM, setting the new KCAC record in the 200-yard IM. He was also a leg in all five of the winning ONU relays.
Jacob Fincher was named the KCAC Male Freshman of the Meet after making the A finals in all three of his individual events, winning the 100-yard butterfly in the process.
In total, the Tigers won half of the swimming events at the KCAC Championships (19 out of 38) and set six new conference records.
