Pacific Rim Students

Olivet Nazarene University is excited to bring its mission of “Education with a Christian Purpose” to an underserved part of the globe.

Pacific Rim Student Services

ONU is reaching out to young men and women from the pacific rim to be a part of one of the nation’s premier Christian universities. The Pacific Rim Region consists of the States and Territories that border or are located in the Pacific Ocean: Alaska, America Samoa, Guam, Hawaii and the Marshall Islands. This initiative also includes US Citizens and Nationals that live in Japan and Korea.

The Pacific Rim Student Services (PRSS) office is designed to help make a smooth transition to Olivet. As a student at Olivet, you will have access to every service necessary to prepare you for success in your career and in life. We are, in every way, a student-centered University. Nowhere is this commitment more evident than in the many services and resources we provide to ensure the academic and personal success of our students. We take a caring, highly personalized approach – not only in the classroom, but in every area of student support. We believe in the vast potential of every student. And we do all we can to help you become your best. The PRSS office will add an extra layer of support that is focused on the unique needs of the students and parents of the Pacific Rim. The office is located in the Elwood Center for Student Success on the second floor. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact Beth Ann Conway.

Beth Conway

“Since my first visit to Hawaii and American Samoa in 2014 I felt an instant connection with the students and families. My experience working with them has been life changing. I walk alongside and love the students and families God has allowed to cross my path – as well as help them achieve their educational and spiritual goals. The Lord has given me the privilege to “be family away from home” for these students while they are preparing for their future. I take that responsibility very seriously.”

Pacific Rim Association

The Pacific Rim Association (PRA) was established to support Pacific Rim students transitioning to the mainland and the college culture. As an organization, the PRA strives to develop and maintain a healthy, diverse community while supporting high moral and educational standards and integrating faith and learning. As a group, PRA will grow together to help each other each their fullest potential to achieve goals greater than ever imagined.
