Reading Endorsement

Through this program, you can learn how to design assessment, differentiate instruction, and design instructional approaches to improve Kindergarten – 12th grade literacy. You will study strategies for improving reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, phonics, and phonemic awareness. Choosing Between A Reading Teacher Endorsement and Master’s Program

Teachers interested in working with students in a small-group instructional capacity should pursue a reading teacher endorsement. This endorsement may be completed in approximately 12 months. Addressing literacy deficits closes the achievement gap across literacy, moving readers to meet grade-level expectations.

Candidates who seek a master’s degree in education (Reading Teacher) assume the roles of an interventionist, reading coach, and reading coordinator.
