Cheerleading Tryout
Our goal is to have up to a 20-member team of experienced athletes for football season.
Football squad members cheer:
- Home football games (6)
- Homecoming performances
- Various appearances at community events
Our goal is to have up to a 13-member team of experienced athletes for basketball season.
Full season squad members cheer:
- Home football games
- Home men’s and women’s basketball games
- Homecoming performances
- Various appearances at community events
Selection Criteria / Requirements
- The team will be created based on needs in stunting, as well as, overall technique, skill, potential and coachability.
- Members must also abide by the requirements listed on the Lifestyle Covenant which is signed by each athlete.
- You are student-athletes first! Please note, you must maintain a 2.0 or above to be eligible to participate in this program.
- Returning athletes must try out every year.
- To be on basketball, you must cheer for football.
- Both teams will be established at tryouts.

What to Wear at Tryouts: Demonstrate your effort
Ladies:
- Wear a fitted sports bra and top, athletic shorts with spandex boy shorts under, athletic shoes (cheer shoes if you have them), NO jewelry, and your hair should be pulled back out of your face with a cheer bow. Nails should be sport length.
- Game ready appearance is highly recommended.
Men:
- Wear an appropriate T-shirt, athletic shorts, and athletic shoes.
Note: These requirements are for safety reasons, and a way to see if you follow directions! Therefore, it’s in your best interest to look game ready.
