Beth Conway

Director of Pacific Rim Student Services & Resident Director, University Place Apartments

Beth Ann Conway is the director of Pacific Rim Student Services. She brings many years of experience working with students and families from the Pacific region as well as with military families. Along with her husband, Mike Conway (director of ONU Athletics), she has visited with families and recruited students from America Samoa, Guam and Hawaii. She understands the challenges these students and families face being so far away from home.

“Since my first visit to Hawaii and American Samoa in 2014 I felt an instant connection with the students and families. My experience working with them has been life changing. I walk alongside and love the students  and families God has allowed to cross my path – as well as help them achieve their educational and spiritual goals. The Lord has given me the privilege to be ‘family away from home’ for these students while they are preparing for their future. I take that responsibility very seriously.”

Upon graduating from Olivet in 1986, she served as a resource coordinator for Focus on the Family. She returned to Olivet from 1996-2000 and worked in Alumni Relations, Church Relations and the Athletic Department. Most of her adult life has been serving in higher education and working with college students in Athletics and Student Development. During her seven years at North Park University, she worked in the Office of Student Engagement and worked closely with Pacific Rim students and founded the Pacific Cultural Association. Before coming back to Olivet in 2020, she worked in the registrar’s office with families and military students at Taylor University.

Beth is still actively involved with the Mel Blount Youth Home of Pennsylvania working with underprivileged youth and has helped organize their annual fundraisers since 2003. She and her husband have also been involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) for over 25 years and currently sponsor Olivet’s FCA group.

Beth holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Communication from ONU. She and Mike have two adult sons and daughters-in-law, Dakota and Rachel Conway who reside in O’Fallon, Missouri, and Tyler and Emma Conway who reside in Roseville, Minnesota.
