Meet Your Counselor

Hometown: Elkhart, IN

Major: Corporate Communication and Business Administration

Involvement at ONU: Pole Vaulter on the Track & Field Team, Enactus, Ollies Follies, Intramurals

Favorite Campus Tradition: Ollies Follies wacky games, for sure.

Favorite Thing to do in Bourbonnais: I’ve been a big fan of running at the Davis Creek Trail recently – all thanks to marathon training.

Favorite restaurant in town: Tucci’s is a hidden gem. The food is so good. Slightly pricey but so good.

Best Olivet memory: My best memories are all the late nights and random laughs and chats I would have with my roommates junior and senior year. I don’t know if anybody else would agree but we were hilarious.  Living with your best friends in college is a blast. My super bowl party freshman year was also a top memory.

Favorite Class at ONU: Team Building & Leadership with Dr. Jay Martinson. One of our assignments was to go to someone’s house and make dinner with our group – so fun.

Favorite professor at ONU: Dr. Jay Martinson and Dr. Lynda Allen – I’m sorry, I cannot pick one over the other

Advice for New Students: Take advantage of the opportunities in college! There are so many things to get involved in, trips to travel on, connections to make, etc. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Also, learn to laugh at yourself – it makes college way more fun.

Favorite Bible verse: Joshua 1:9
