Professor Kelsie Davis joined Olivet’s faculty as an adjunct in 2021 and transitioned to full-time faculty in the Communication Department in 2023. She teaches Communication and Theatre courses, including Intro to Theatre, Acting, Directing, Dramatic Literature & Theatre History, Performance Studies and Fundamentals of Communication. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the School of Music, teaching the Choreographic Stage Movement course.
She is a Broadway World award winner and has worked professionally as a musical theatre choreographer. She received her theatre training from the ONU Theatre program under Jerald Cohagan, and has worked with Theatre at the Center, The Walt Disney Co., What a Do Theatre Co., Kankakee Valley Theatre Association and Acting Out Theatre Co. She also continues to work as a freelance choreographer and dance instructor.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and Theatre at Olivet, and completed her first graduate degree in Business Administration in 2022. She is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Theatre Directing from Roosevelt University.
