Matthew (Matt) Foor is the vice president for Finance and chief financial officer. He joined the President’s Cabinet in 2023 and provides executive leadership to resource the University. He also provides senior leadership to several administrative areas of the University, including human resources, accounting and finance, student financial services and auxiliary services. In addition, Matt develops both the short- and long-term financial plan to aid in strategic decisions and serves as the treasurer for the Olivet Foundation.
Prior to 2023, Matt served at Olivet for 27 years in other finance and accounting roles, including controller, chief accounting officer and an adjunct professor in graduate and continuing studies for accounting and math courses.
Matt is a member of the National Association of College & University Business Officers (NACUBO) and Association of Business Administrators of Christian Colleges (ABACC).
He is active in his local church, Gathering Point Church of the Nazarene, having been a board member, small group leader and finance team chair. In addition, Matt was part of the local Salvation Army advisory board and finance committee for nine years.
Matt and his wife Beth ‘97/’18 M.B.A. count themselves blessed to be the parents of Nathan ’24, an Olivet undergrad, and Noelle, a high school student.
