ROTC
Olivet’s Roaring Tiger Battalion is one of the top ROTC programs in the nation. It offers students, in any academic major, the opportunity to learn lifetime leadership and management skills. Cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army upon graduation from Olivet. Army ROTC offers two-, three-, and four-year scholarships that pay full tuition and mandatory fees.
Academics at ONU
We believe in Education with a Christian Purpose. With accredited programs, award-winning academics, and a faculty touting degrees from a wide spectrum of world-class educational institutions, Olivet stands committed to integrating faith and learning. Olivet offers a wide array of academic disciplines, and many students combine majors from multiple areas to create their perfect degree.
US Department of Defense Awards ONU
For outstanding support of military member employees and their families, ONU recently received the Above and Beyond Award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). This award recognizes employers at the local level for going above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing Guard and Reserve employees with additional, non-mandated benefits.
ONU is committed to building a culture that is supportive of the military community on campus. ONU gives an outstanding welcome to military personnel and their dependents, and then supports them as they continue to fulfill their military commitments.
Virtual Campus Tour
As a DoDEA student, it may be difficult for you to travel the long distance to visit campus, so we’ve created this video to bring the campus tour to you! Explore campus and get a closer look at some of the places you’ll be spending time as an ONU student.
Explore the Area
Olivet’s campus is located in Bourbonnais, IL, just 50 miles south of Chicago. Students are a quick car or train ride away from the third largest city in the United States, with access to two world-class airports, making it easy to travel home for summer and winter breaks.
The Village of Bourbonnais, home to our 275-acre campus, provides ONU students with access to a variety of local internships, recreation, dining, and entertainment in a safe, friendly environment.
