Dr. Walter “Woody” Webb, CFRE

Director of Planned and Estate Giving, Executive Director of the Olivet Foundation


Dr. Webb serves as the Director of Planned and Estate Giving. Prior to his current assignment he served as vice president for student development for 27 years where he provided administrative leadership to most areas of student and campus life. During his tenure as VP he oversaw the growth of campus housing from 1,200 to more than 2,300 students.

“My greatest joy in serving at Olivet is the one-on-one opportunities I have to make a difference in the life of a student,” Dr. Webb says.

Prior to his duties as vice president, Dr. Webb served as the associate director of admissions and as a resident director for six years at Olivet. As a resident director, he supervised residence hall living by advising and assisting residents in social and spiritual matters. He also served as a resident assistant for three years at Olivet and worked as a student manager with Marriott Food Service for six years.

Giving back to his local community, he has served as co-coordinator of the annual CROP Walk for Hunger for 20 years. As a charter member of the local CROP chapter, he helped lead the community effort to raise more than $200,000 for local and world hunger needs.

He has been recognized for his volunteer service by the Youth Services Bureau of Williamson County, Illinois; U.S. Veterans Administration; Illinois Department of Corrections; The Salvation Army; Illinois Youth Center of Kankakee County; and Hunger Relief Agency of Church World Services.

In 1988, he attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism. He was elected to Who’s Who in Religion in 1992 and Outstanding Young Men of America in 1987.

Dr. Webb is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and an active member of GatheringPoint Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais. He has served the Lord in a variety of ways during his adult life: worship leader, church board member, preacher in dozens of churches throughout Indiana.

He and his wife, Julie (Potter) ’89 are the parents of one son, James ’14.
