Jerry Luzeniecki

Adjunct Professor


A native of Chicago, Jerry Luzeniecki has been adjunct professor of saxophone at ONU since 1997. He has been the conductor of Concert Band since 2014 and also served as the clarinet instructor from 2014 until 2018. He was the band director for the Bourbonnais Elementary Schools from 1994 until his retirement in 2014. Previously, he was the Band Director for the Momence School District (Illinois).



As a working musician, Jerry has performed with various ensembles in the area including the Steve Anthony Orchestra, the Swing Kings, Jazz Times, the Shout Section Big Band, the R & B band Everyday People, as well as the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra.

He has also served as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the area as well as a guest conductor for the Kan-Will Conference Band, the Junior High Band Festival hosted by Tuscola CUSD #301 in 2016 and the Junior High Honor Band hosted by ONU in 2017.

He has been happily married to Cindy since 1981. The Luzenieckis have three grown children and four grandsons. He enjoys (but does not excel at) golf. His CD “Nothing Fancy” was released in 2012.
