Jonathan Fightmaster

Academic Liason for Athletics & Assistant Professor

Professor Fightmaster joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2015. He teaches mathematics, intermediate algebra, and algebra and trigonometry courses.

He is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international education honor society, and Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society promoting scholarly activity in mathematics.

Outside of the classroom, you may find Professor Fightmaster playing or coaching baseball, watching movies, playing board games, and adding to his collection of sports pins.

His family has a long tradition at Olivet. During World War II, his grandfather, William, was enrolling for classes the same day he received his draft notice. William did not attend Olivet after the war, but all of his sons did, including Professor Fightmaster’s father, Tony, who serves as Olivet’s director of church relations. His mother, Janine, graduated from Olivet in 2015. His brothers, Josh, Caleb and Ben, are also Olivet graduates. And his three nieces, Noelle, Grace and Brooklyn, may join the group someday.
