KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Olivet Nazarene University Athletics Department displayed its commitment to excellence in the classroom as the national office announced that 45 Tigers from the fall sports season have been selected as Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.
Football and women’s soccer led the way with 11 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes apiece. Men’s soccer had eight honorees and women’s cross country had seven. Men’s cross country and women’s volleyball both tallied for selections each.
