MARION, Ind. – Hannah Antkoviak defended her crown in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Olivet Nazarene University women’s track & field team to a top-10 finish at the 2024 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships this weekend at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

The junior harrier from Allegan. Mich., who will be competing in the 2024 United States Olympic trials in late June for the same event, blitzed out a 57.72 to take down the 400-meter hurdles for the second straight season. Antkoviak added a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.19, which would have set the new all-time NAIA record in the event, before running the anchor leg of the third-place 4×400-meter relay team.

The ONU women also netted points via All-American finishes from Kaylah McCall and Kayla Mikottis, with the former notching an eight-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles at 13.97 and the latter earning her second consecutive All-American placement in the discus with a seventh-place mark at 47.33m.

Daniel DeRamus was the lone All-American on the ONU men’s side. The senior thrower out of Lansing, Ill., who came into nationals ranked 27th in the discus, ripped off a personal-best mark of 50.20m to place sixth and finish his career as an NAIA All-American.

The ONU women tallied 27 points on the week to finish in a tie for seventh place with Hastings College. The Tiger men collected three points from DeRamus to tie for 62nd. British Columbia ran away with the Red Banner on the women’s side while Cumberlands edged out Marian (Ind.) to win the title on the men’s side.
