Olivet Nazarene University’s Collin Hewett has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending Sept. 23, 2018. He is a senior majoring in marketing at Olivet.
Collin, the goalkeeper for Tiger men’s soccer, registered a combined nine saves in identical 3-1 wins over Judson University on Wednesday, Sept. 19, and Roosevelt University on Saturday, Sept. 22. He stopped four shots against Judson and five opposite Roosevelt.
Olivet Tigers, among others receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll, boosted their overall record to 6-2 on the season with the pair of wins.
