The Golden Apple Foundation recently released the finalists for the 2024 Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching. Julianne Collier, a 2018 M.A.E. graduate from Olivet Nazarene University who teaches at Adlai Stevenson Elementary School in Elk Grove Village, was chosen as one of the 30 finalists in the state of Illinois.
Award recipients receive a cash award and become fellows of the Golden Apple Academy of Educators. This community is active in engaging future generations of educators to mitigate state-wide teaching shortages.
