Through the partnership of the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Development, Olivet Nazarene University is spreading Christmas cheer with the release of a 2020 Christmas ornament. Manufactured by the creators of the Official White House Christmas Ornament, the 2020 Olivet ornament features Burke Administration.
The piece also commemorates the life and service of our University President, Dr. John Bowling. On the back of every ornament is this inscription:
Commemorating 30 years of leadership by the longest-serving president in Olivet History. “The world is waiting for a new generation of leaders” – John C. Bowling
Burke was part of the original campus purchased from St. Viator’s College in 1940. The building is currently occupied by our University President, Dr. John C. Bowling, along with several academic departments and administrative offices. Over the years, Burke has been used for a variety of purposes, including a radio station on the fourth floor, chapel on the ground floor, and even College Church services on the lower level. Burke Administration is a fitting start to our annual Olivet Christmas Ornament Collection. It is a symbol of our motto, “Education With a Christian Purpose.”
