Olivet Theatre Presents: Fall 2020 Season Preview

Students adapt to bring classic tales to life under the stars.

September 7, 2020 Arts & Music

The show must go on for Olivet Nazarene University’s Theatre Program! This fall, students will perform classic tales, creatively modernized for the fall 2020 theatre season.

ONU Theatre director and associate professor, Ashley Sarver, is excited to present the fall season of productions for students to showcase their talents as audiences enjoy outdoor entertainment.

She says, “As people of faith, we have a responsibility and unique privilege to use our storytelling skills to help serve others and glorify the greatest storyteller, Jesus Christ. I am honored to be following my mentor, Prof. Jerry Cohagan, in this position. My hope and vision for ONU Theatre is to embrace the power of storytelling and to be intentional about using our work for serving others, glorifying God, and building the Kingdom – especially during a pandemic.”

In cooperation with state regulations and University guidelines, productions for the fall semester will move from the traditional setting of Kresge Auditorium to various outdoor venues in the Olivet community. These unique settings will provide audiences with intimate performances and entertainment under the stars.
